Job Title: Tech Assistant II – Diagnostic Imaging
Location: Salinas, CA 93901 (Travel Contract)
Contract: 3 Months+ (possible extension)
Schedule: Full-time | 40 hrs/week | 8-hr shifts | Varied days & shifts
Facility: Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System
Pay Rate: $30/hr. on W2

• Schedule and coordinate exams across PET/CT, CT, MRI, US, NM, Angio, X-ray & Mammo
• Register and pre-screen patients in Meditech/ITS
• Prepare charts, consents, , and interventional paperwork
• Assist with patient transport, lifting, and positioning
• Support Radiologists and Technologists with patient flow and PACS
• Print/burn imaging CDs and maintain imaging files
• Obtain authorizations, CPT/ICD codes, insurance documents
• Ensure Medicare compliance (medical necessity, secondary payer, three-day rule)
• Answer phones professionally and coordinate across departments
• Assist with sedation scheduling and next-day order verification

• High School Diploma or GED
• BLS (AHA) – required
• 2–4 years recent experience scheduling in Diagnostic Imaging
• Experience with CT, MRI, PET/CT, Angio, US, X-ray workflows
• Medical terminology strongly preferred
• Comfortable with patient transport and physical assistance
