Department:
Diagnostic Imaging
- Under minimal supervision, perform radiographic, fluoroscopic and portable procedures as requested by a physician to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Perform any combination of duties depending on area of assignment, demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served on the unit.
- Primary duties include performing diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures such as chest, extremities, spines, catheter placements, etc.
- Care for patients during procedures by assisting them to rest rooms, giving them blankets, etc., and prepare patients for their exams.
- Report changes in the patient's condition to others for follow-up, and transport patients by stretcher, bed, wheelchair, or walking.
- Provide care for patients during transportation and in the department, if necessary, and assist patients by lifting and moving them off and on the x-ray tables.
- Provide bedpans and urinals as needed and ensure that patients are properly dressed for procedures.
- Perform related duties such as reporting equipment malfunctions, assisting others, and special assignments.
- Clean work area and replenish supplies.
- Assist with emergency medical treatment under physician direction and with the scheduling of patient exams.
- Attend regularly scheduled department meetings and in‑services.
- Give contrast media and flush lines with normal saline contrast or normal saline, under direct supervision of the radiologist, pull Lidocaine/buffered Lidocaine for procedure.
- Education:
Completion of a two‑year Radiologic Technology training program approved by the AMA. - Licensure: ARRT, CRT certificate and Fluoroscopy license required; current BLS/Healthcare Provider status per American Heart Association standards; valid Driver’s License.
- Experience:
At least one (1) year of experience as a licensed technologist preferred.

Hourly rate: $53.61 - $64.52. The range reflects the target for new hire salaries for this position.
