Physical Therapist - Outpatient Rehab

Position Summary

Under the leadership of the department director and/or assistant director, the staff physical therapist is responsible for supporting the mission of the hospital by providing quality physical therapy services to patients of all ages who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes.

Responsibilities include collaborating with a variety of professionals involved in the patient’s care; educating and engaging in critical inquiry; directing and supervising physical therapy services, including support personnel; performing examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and interventions to reduce patient’s disability; and providing prevention and wellness services.

Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy required. Master’s or doctorate degree preferred.

Physical Therapy Board of California license required. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.

Must pass orientation and initial competency assessment prior to independent assignment of patients requiring the applicable skill, and must complete and pass all annual competencies.

Full time, regular position. Pay Range (based on years of applicable experience): $54.16 to $72.43 per hour. Shift differentials: evening shift differential: $3.87; night shift differential: $5.81.
