Responsibilities
Works under the supervision of Speech Therapy Supervisor. Assesses referred patient. Plans and administers Speech Therapy intervention plan, schedules treatments, records treatment information, instructs students to assist in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients, provides instruction to patient, family and hospital staff. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age‑appropriate care. Performs other duties as assigned, including assessing patients, planning and administering Care Plan in collaboration with physician, patient and family goals, ensuring high‑quality and safe patient care, completing documentation, assisting in patient independence, maintaining cost‑effective treatment plans, orienting new employees and volunteers, adhering to safety standards and ensuring department objectives are met.
QualificationsEducation:
California Speech Therapy license required, or a temporary California Speech Therapist license with a commitment to obtain a permanent license within one year from date of hire. Licensure:
Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status per American Heart Association standards required. Certificate of Clinical Competence required.

Hourly rate: $52.30 - $63.57. Shift differentials:
Evening Shift $2.00 per hour;
Night Shift $4.00 per hour.
