Job Overview

A skilled nursing facility (SNF) is seeking an experienced or newly graduated occupational therapist (OT) to join the team on a contract assignment.

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation services, including direct patient care to evaluate medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, restrictions, and rehabilitation potential.
• Establish and administer treatment programs with specific goals determined according to patient capacity and tolerance, under physician direction.
• Set realistic and achievable goals for patients, document and record patient condition.
• Educate patients and families in appropriate occupational therapy methods.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.

• Graduated from an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Current state license as an occupational therapist (OT) or actively pursuing licensure.
• Current CPR certification.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Assess patient needs, plan, evaluate, and modify care to meet occupational therapy goals.
