The HR Compliance Support Specialist supports enterprise-wide compliance, policy governance, and HR systems integrity across payroll, benefits, and workforce operations in a multi-state agricultural environment.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is currently a law student, a recent J.D., or has a background in Accounting, Finance,Compliance, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Has a strong interest in labor and employment law, benefits compliance, or corporate governance
  • Has experience (internship, clinic, or professional) supporting audits, compliance projects,or policy/governance initiatives (preferred)
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills and is comfortable working with data, systems, and detailed documentation
  • Writes clearly and effectively, especially when drafting policies, research summaries, and business communications
  • Is comfortable learning and working within HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration systems (experience preferred; training provided)
  • Can manage multiple priorities in a seasonal, multi-state workforce environment
  • Is adaptable and open to a short-term, long-term, or year-round structure depending on availability (preferred)

What you’ll do:

  • Support enterprise compliance efforts across payroll, benefits, tax, and employment practices
  • Assist with internal and external audits by gathering documentation and preparing audit-ready files
  • Track and summarize regulatory changes affecting wage and hour, leave laws, benefits,and multi-state workforce requirements
  • Contribute to regulatory reporting and compliance deliverables related to tax, workforce,and benefits programs
  • Assist in drafting, updating, and organizing company policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks
  • Conduct research and prepare summaries on emerging compliance topics impacting agricultural operations
  • Support benefits renewals, eligibility verification, deductions review, and vendor documentation
  • Monitor HRIS and payroll data accuracy while helping maintain audit controls and reporting dashboards
  • Compile and analyze workforce data, HR metrics, and census information to support compliance and leadership decision-making
  • Support the annual performance review process through tracking, reporting, and documentation
  • Identify opportunities to streamline compliance processes and improve cross-functional efficiency
