Alvarez Technology Group is looking to hire current and future superstars to join our team as Level 1 Support Technician.

A support engineer maintains and troubleshoots the existing computers, laptops, security, and servers within their organization's network. They install, configure, and troubleshoot the computers, as well as all other applications and printers, to keep them at optimum performance. This is a very hands‑on career that frequently requires the individual to respond to urgent requests and help individuals face to face; some travel may also be required.

A strong background in information technology and proficiency in all of the Windows platforms is required. Must have very strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as technical problem‑solving skills. Some light programming, Microsoft Office, anti‑virus, and network security experience or education are preferred.

A major requirement for all ATG engineers is to provide outstanding value to all customer engagements, cost‑effectively and efficiently implementing new technology and maintaining existing systems. This includes remaining vigilant for opportunities to improve the customer's environment by recommending products and services that will enhance their productivity and profitability.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of IT experience
  • Experience with various monitoring tools and understanding the technologies underpinning them.
  • Experience supporting Windows 10 & up, Windows networking, Active Directory, and Exchange administration
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, DHCP, LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, and other common networking concepts and practices
  • Experience with remote access and collaboration tools
  • Knowledge of VPN client setup and administration
  • Experience with VOIP
  • Experience with imaging software
  • Experience with Antivirus
  • Experience with general audio and video technologies
  • Experience with mobile configuration of phones & features (Android or iPhone) and associated apps or OS updates
Certifications
  • CompTIA A+, Network +, Security +, MCSA or equivalent, HDI Desktop Support Technician or equivalent (similar experience in other technologies will be considered meeting qualifications)
