Temporary Maintenance

The Role:

The Temporary Housing Maintenance Helper supports our Housing Maintenance Technician in keeping employee housing safe, clean, and ready for the 2027 season. You will assist with repairs, cleaning, painting, groundskeeping, and moving furniture or equipment.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone who takes initiative, works independently, and completes tasks with minimal supervision.

Location(s):
Salinas, CA, Huron, CA

Areas of Responsibility:

• Assist with basic repairs, cleaning, painting, and general upkeep of housing units and common areas.
• Help move, set up, and organize furniture, appliances, and equipment.
• Replace small maintenance items like air filters, batteries, smoke detectors, and more.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete tasks safely and efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous general labor, handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving furniture/appliances.
• Dependable, hardworking, and eager to learn.
• Flexible and able to respond to urgent maintenance needs when required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, bend, and work in various indoor/outdoor conditions.
