Shift: 2nd Shift
Schedule: 4:00PM-3:30AM (overtime and weekends as required)
* May vary, depending on business needs.
Pay Rate: $23.75/hr.
Additional Compensation Benefits
- Shift Differential: $0.50/hr. while working on 2nd shift.
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Material Handler 2 is responsible for ensuring accurate receiving and shipping of product orders, in compliance with company policies and customer requirements. This position supports production-related activities as needed, including staging raw materials, supplying totes from designated areas, and maintaining timely product flow to production. All duties are performed in accordance with established Latitude 36 Foods processes, procedures, safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum formal education, HS Diploma preferred.
- Must possess previous PIT training with a license/certification active within 3 years, and with 6 months of PIT operator experience.
- Must be able to operate sit-down, stand-up, reach, forklifts among other PIT machinery.
- At least 12-months experience using RF scanner for bar code scanning preferred.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic computer skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
- Ability to work with changing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to successfully complete the Power Industrial Truck Certification Program.
- Ensure “Safety First” is consistently practiced and all job safety rules are strictly followed, both on and off forklift equipment.
- Abide by ALL Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Ensure warehouse is always in SQF Audit readiness.
- Follow established SOPs for receiving, shipping, and production line feeding.
- Ability to organize and supply raw goods to production staging areas.
- Ability to support tote supply function, transferring totes from tote staging area to production.
- Complete all required documentation, sales order verification, load verification, and quality checks prior to product being shipped.
- Able to follow FIFO methodology when selecting product.
- Responsible for receiving product and putting away inventory, while accurately allocating to ERP system and in warehouse locations.
- Stage and load product into trailers.
- Utilize RF scanner while performing assigned tasks, as required per SOP guidelines.
- Understanding of allergen and organic warehousing regulations.
- Able to complete all other required documentation per SOP guidelines.
- Complete other assignments as requested by Warehouse Supervisor and/or Warehouse Manager.
Physical Requirement/Environment
- Fast-paced manufacturing/packaging work environment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time with extensive walking and working in refrigerated cooler (32*).
- The team member is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, twist, sit, and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Normal vision, hearing sensitivity and manual dexterity is necessary in position
- Must be able to utilize P.I.T. equipment, such as forklift or other lifting devices.
