Position SummaryUnder the direction of the FSQA Supervisor, the FSQA Technician has the responsibility of performing production line checks, ensuring GMPs are being followed, and ensuring the quality of both in-process component packaging as well as finished products.
Required Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum two years of food manufacturing experience preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Must be +18 years old.
- Working knowledge of computers, systems and databases.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of Critical Control Points (CCP's), SOP's and Quality Standards.
- Working knowledge of ingredients, processes, and finished product disposition.
- Ensure "Safety First" is always practiced and observes and adheres to all job safety rules.
- Perform and/or verify equipment calibration per established procedures and frequencies as directed.
- Initiate Hold Reports for non-conforming goods, out-of-specification processes, in-process failures, etc.
- Conduct daily GMP inspections in production and warehouse areas.
- Inspect machinery to ensure proper clean-up has occurred when needed.
- Monitoring Critical Control Process and Quality Control Procedures.
- Responsible for reporting quality concerns for non-conforming raw materials and packaging.
- Ensure all raw materials meet regulatory and internal requirements for food safety and quality.
- Perform lot inspections to determine product defect levels.
- Perform incoming product inspections.
- Assist in hold inventory.
- Assist in retaining sample inventory.
- Ability to receive written and verbal directions.
- Ability to understand general work processes.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Leadership.
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear.
- The team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time with extensive walking and working in refrigerated coolers (34F+).
- Normal vision, hearing sensitivity, and manual dexterity is necessary.
