Gen Leader - Salinas

Job Summary

Through training and direct field ministry experience, lead and participate in effective Young Life ministry.

• Spiritual Development: foster yearly personal growth plans including prayer, spiritual disciplines, fellowship, growth, and church relationships; lead teams and individuals in spiritual development; actively engage in the community’s spiritual life.
• Leadership Development: recruit and train volunteer leaders; supervise team building and training; maintain vision casting; assist in training leaders, team leaders, and committees to work effectively together; develop yearly ministry strategy.
• Resource Development: raise financial support; maintain donor care practices; communicate ministry updates and progress; develop strategic relationships with community leaders; assist with camp fundraisers.
• Direct Ministry: engage in contact work, club, Campaigners, and camp; lead a team to plan and conduct a new or existing ministry with excellence; lead summer and school‑season camping strategy; serve on a yearly summer assignment at a Young Life camp.
• Ministry Support: administer accounting, data management, internal communication, and strategic planning; manage finances with stewardship; maintain accurate records on kids, leaders, donors; communicate professionally; set and review yearly strategic plans; perform other duties as assigned.

• College degree preferred.
• Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Accepted into the NGL program.

• Standard base pay: $14,880 per year (US only).
• Monthly rate: $1,240.
