Overview
Department:
Emergency Department. Works under the supervision of the Director.
The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individualized care in a patient care area according to departmental policies and procedures and the Nurse Practice Act. She/he will individualize patient care based upon age-appropriate and developmental needs and will accept responsibility for the direction of co‑workers in the implementation of the plan of care. The RN collaborates with physicians, patient/family members, and other members of the health care team in delivering the plan of care and utilizes positive communication skills.
The RN may be required to work on other nursing units according to staff and patient distribution. She/he must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on her/his unit.
Week 1:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday
Week 2:
Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
FTE: 0.88 (10hr)
Shift: Night Shift (FTE 0.9, scheduled hours 36)
Qualifications- Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. - Licenses:
Current California RN license. - Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards required.
- Experience:
Twelve (12) or more months of service as a registered nurse in an acute cares setting or specialty facility within three (3) years. - Must successfully complete SVH Pharmacology test upon hire.
Hourly rate: $69.95 - $85.03.
Shift Differentials:
Evening Shift $3.00, Night Shift $6.00.
