Job Summary

Emergency Room registered nurse position in Salinas, California. This role involves providing high‑quality, age‑appropriate emergency nursing care in a fast‑paced clinical environment. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with physicians, patients, families, and the healthcare team. Flexibility for working on other units within the department may be required. The position emphasizes patient safety, emergency procedures, and effective communication.

  • Schedule:

    Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications:

    Associates of Science in nursing (ASN) required;
    California RN license; minimum of 2 years clinical registered nurse experience in emergency departments; recent Epic electronic medical records experience (6-12 months within the past year); current ACLS, PALS, and BLS/Healthcare Provider certifications as per American Heart Association standards; willingness to float within similar departments; open to working during major holidays including Thanksgiving.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    Bachelors Degree in Nursing;
    Clinical Nurse Specialist/Nurse Practitioner certification; 2 years of emergency department experience.
  • Additional Information:
    Candidate will be responsible for patient assessments, care planning, discharge planning, patient teaching, and participating in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives. Flexibility and teamwork are essential to ensure patient‑centered, efficient care delivery.
