Registered Nurse II – 5M Observation Care Unit

• Complete nursing assessments and document appropriately in the patient record.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on assessment and developmental needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and health‑team members to develop and coordinate plans of care.
• Initiate, manage, and participate in discharge planning.
• Initiate, manage, and participate in patient/family teaching.
• Implement care in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Evaluate and update patient responses to the plan of care.
• Facilitate physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual care of patients.
• Use positive communication skills to resolve conflicts and promote teamwork.
• Contribute to cost‑effective patient care by monitoring time, equipment, and supplies.
• Comply with safety policies and procedures to provide a safe environment for employees, patients, and visitors.
• Demonstrate flexibility regarding changes in hospital or unit activities.
• Act as preceptor and charge nurse as assigned.
• Participate actively in achieving departmental goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred.
• Current California RN license.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status per American Heart Association standards.
• Twelve (12) or more months of service as a registered nurse in an acute‑care setting.
• Must successfully complete a Pharmacology and EKG Test.

Hourly rate: $73.62 – $89.49 (target for new hires). Hourly evening shift differential: $3.00. Hourly night shift differential: $6.00.
