Position Summary

We are seeking a QA Supervisor to join our team! Under the direction of the FSQA Manager, the QA Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and maintaining food safety programs and quality systems within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all products are produced in accordance with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable food safety regulations. The supervisor leads quality assurance personnel, implements, and monitors food safety programs, and works cross‑functionally with operations, sanitation, and management to drive continuous improvement in product safety and quality.

Qualifications

& Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in Food Science or related field is preferred, or
  • Minimum of 1 year leadership experience within a food manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • HACCP, PCQI and SQF certifications preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred

What Your Responsibilities Will Be
  • Supervise and train FSQA staff on food safety and quality tasks and policies.
  • Monitor adherence to GMPs, SOPs, and compliance with preventive controls during daily operations.
  • Perform record reviews for food safety and quality assurance documentation.
  • Conduct and document inspections, audits, and verification activities.
  • Investigate non‑conformances and process deviations, customer complaints, and food safety incidents.
  • Monitor implementation and execution of food safety prerequisite programs.
  • Support internal, customer, and third‑party audits.
  • Work cross‑functionally with production, warehouse, sanitation, and maintenance teams to ensure conformance with internal, regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Identify and communicate quality or food safety concerns to suppliers for corrective and preventive action responses.
  • Maintain the FSQA office space and supply inventory.
  • Assist with implementation, verification, and validation of SQF programs as co‑practitioner.
  • Assist FSQA Manager in maintaining department metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • The team member is frequently required to stand, walk, walk up and down stairs, sit, and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
