We are so much more than a Parts Store and we are looking for great talent to join our NAPA family. As a NAPA Counter Sales associate
, you are the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person as customers enter our retail stores for all automotive needs. You don’t need to tear down and rebuild engines (though that is awesome if you can); you should have a background and knowledge of automotive parts. This is a great opportunity whether you want to build a long-term career as a Parts Specialist, are looking for full/part-time work, or want to explore other careers at some point – we welcome you to join us.

What

you will be doing
  • Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter or over the phone.
  • Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members in answering customer questions.
  • Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who visits our NAPA Store.
  • Bring customer focus and high energy to our fast-paced stores.
  • Welcome retail customers into our stores and engage to provide a positive consumer experience.
  • Use technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system.

  • Genuinely enjoy helping retail and wholesale customers with auto parts and service questions.
  • Have gained parts experience through the automotive industry or by tinkering with/repairing cars & trucks.
  • Are willing to learn all things automotive if you don’t have the background in automotive parts.

What you'll need
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a willingness to learn all things auto parts.
  • High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses or degree.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong listening skills and empathy for customers.
And if you have this, even better (not a deal breaker if you don't)
  • Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership.
  • Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, auto body/collision.
  • Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems (a plus).
  • Customer-centric approach (external/internal).
  • ASe Certifications.

This position offers an hourly pay of $21.50. Pay progression is available for many hourly positions; starting rates and top end of the range depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications. We encourage candidates to discuss their backgrounds during the interview process.
