As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark in stores. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, as well as support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $16.90 to $17.40 depending on your skills and experience.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a Part-Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours for this position are between 2-6 hours per week

You'll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores (e.g., grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers). The merchandiser role includes three major components:
- Day-to-day engagement: Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. Communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys. Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
- Holiday support: Seasonal demand around holidays (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) may require additional days and extended hours, including some holidays and weekends.
- Department Resets: May be part of a team performing installations, building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments/products, and resetting card sections. Typically notified two weeks in advance for remodels; assignments may include evenings or weekends.
- One Team Vision: Part of a network of merchandisers that supports other team members in their territories.
This is a physically demanding role requiring energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, including lifting and moving cartons and fixtures up to 30 pounds (up to 50 pounds occasionally). You may need to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and potentially climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to operate a digital hand-held device to read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
- Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
