Join our Smart & Final store operations team as a Part‑time Retail Associate at the Salinas location. This role supports store operations including stocking, customer service, and general cleaning duties.

• Maintain assigned store sections and stock merchandise using proper equipment.
• Ensure proper pricing, product rotation, and shelf organization.
• Prepare perishable products for sale.
• Set up advertising/promotional displays.
• Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers.
• Assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles when requested.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties, including recording lost/damaged goods and store supplies.

• Ability to read and write English and interact with the public and co‑workers.
• Understand simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills (preferred).
• Retail Management Certificate (preferred).
