We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Salinas, California, warehouse team and contribute to our mission.
Position Overview: As a Rijk Zwaan USA Warehouse Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics. You will work closely with our warehouse team to ensure the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of seeds. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn about the seed industry and develop valuable skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming seed shipments.
- Help maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock checks.
- Support the picking, packing, and shipping of orders to customers.
- Participate in warehouse organization and cleanliness initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse processes and improve efficiency.
- Learn and adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program (e.g., Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, Business, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move heavy items as required.
- Interest in the seed industry and warehouse operations.
- Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday
- Duration: June - August (3 months)
