We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student to support our warehouse operations as part of a work-study position.
Position Overview: The Warehouse Work-Study Student Assistant supports daily warehouse operations, including inventory handling, order preparation, and general organization. This role provides practical work experience while accommodating a student’s academic schedule. The student will work closely with the warehouse team to help ensure the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of seeds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming seed shipments.
- Help maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock checks.
- Support the picking, packing, and shipping of orders to customers.
- Participate in warehouse organization and cleanliness initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse processes and improve efficiency.
- Learn and adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program at a community college or university (e.g., Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, Business, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move heavy items as required.
- Interest in the seed industry and warehouse operations.
Schedule:
- Flexible hours based on class schedule; approximately 16–20 hours per week, in accordance with work-study guidelines.
