Position: Senior Mechanical Facilities Service Manager. Job in Saline Lily Lifestyle Jobs

The focus of this role is to enhance service execution, ensure equipment uptime, reduce repair times, and improve long-term asset performance. As a Senior Mechanical Facilities Service Manager, you will build and lead a top-performing in-house maintenance program that guarantees the team's ability to safely perform maintenance and troubleshooting activities in a critical environment.

This position requires U.S. citizenship and is based onsite in Saline, Michigan. Relocation assistance may be available in accordance with Oracle's relocation policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the onsite mechanical facilities technician team responsible for critical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and service execution for cooling and HVAC systems.
  • Manage Mechanical Facilities Technicians, offering day-to-day leadership, work prioritization, coaching, performance management, and development.
  • Build and oversee an in-house maintenance program for mechanical systems, focusing on planning, training, execution standards, and continuous improvement.
  • Supervise maintenance and service for large-scale mechanical and cooling infrastructure, including chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, and associated controls.
  • Manage vendors, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring compliance with SLAs, workmanship standards, response expectations, and safety practices.
  • Monitor system health, equipment reliability, and maintenance effectiveness while using data to enhance uptime and address repeat failures.
  • Own mechanical safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and technician training in maintenance execution and safe work practices.
  • Support incident response, service restoration, and maintenance planning to maintain operational reliability.
  • Collaborate with Facility Managers, Engineering, Reliability, and Construction teams to assure effective system handoffs and operational readiness.
  • Drive continuous improvement in maintenance procedures and service response standards.
  • Ensure site readiness to support 24/7 mission-critical operations through proper staffing, training, and maintenance strategies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 3‑5+ years of experience in HVAC or mechanical service within uptime‑critical environments like data centers or healthcare.
  • 1‑3+ years of leadership experience overseeing technicians or service teams.
  • Strong understanding of large‑scale cooling systems and HVAC service operations.
  • Proven experience in managing maintenance execution and technician development.
  • Preferred educational background includes an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC technology, facilities management, or related fields; equivalent experience is also valued.
Skills and Competencies
  • Effective crisis management and leadership in high‑availability environments.
  • Track record of improving maintenance quality and service reliability.
  • Strong people leadership skills with a focus on technician development and accountability.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating across operations and engineering teams.
  • Strong judgment and prioritization skills in time‑sensitive situations.
Preferred Skills / Certifications
  • Experience with mission‑critical cooling infrastructure and HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with BMS/controls integration and KPI tracking.
  • Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance, and energy optimization.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification is preferred where refrigerant‑handling responsibilities apply.
  • HVAC trade license or mechanical certification preferred.
  • OEM training related to cooling systems is a plus.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Physical Demands / Work Environment

This is a mission‑critical onsite role supporting 24/7 operations where regular attendance, schedule flexibility, and readiness to respond are essential. Duties require frequent physical activity, including walking, bending, lifting objects, and climbing. Workers must be able to maintain balance when working at heights and participate in team lifting for heavier items. Safety is paramount in this industrial environment, and we accommodate all feasible requests to ensure ongoing facility health.
