Materials Planner

• 2+ years of MRP experience, preferably with international suppliers.
• Experience working within an ERP system, preferably PLEX

The Materials Planner ensures consistent material flow to support the Master Production Schedule (MPS) at the Performance Seats Clinton Township facility. This role develops monitoring processes to maintain production uptime, inventory accuracy, and transportation cost control, while implementing tools and practices that improve supply chain efficiency.

• Create and maintain supplier releases to ensure timely material flow.
• Partner with production teams to identify and prioritize variance issues impacting material availability.
• Analyze data to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Manage and track material movement between the facility and external warehouses.
• Support cycle counting activities to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Collaborate with Engineering to develop part transition plans.
• Maintain and communicate key performance indicators.
• Establish and adjust safety stock levels for purchased parts.
• Assist with engineering change implementation and timing control.
• Support freight and inventory budget development.
• Participate in S&OP meetings and cross-training activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering; OR four years of related experience as a Materials or Purchasing Analyst/Coordinator.
• 2+ years of MRP experience, preferably with international suppliers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet applications, and email.
• Experience working within an ERP system, preferably PLEX
