What you will do as an Maintenance Painter at Evangelical Home:

• Responsible for painting a variety of surfaces around the facility
• Carry maintenance phone on assigned weekends for off hour emergencies
• Makes recommendations to Supervisor on repairs that can be done in house
• Clean windows and screens as directed
• Make room and furniture changes as needed
• Performs painting and patching as needed
• Clean and replace equipment
• Performs inspections as needed

Hours:
Monday - Friday 9:30am to 5pm with possible weekends

What it takes to join our team:

• At least 6+months experience in a senior living environment, property management or apartment community facilities environment.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of maintenance workareas.
• Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
• Must possess the ability to seek new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing maintenance practices.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
