Asset Protection Operations Coach

Position Summary

Drives sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation. Responsible for accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, inventory levels, area cleanliness, assessing economic trends, and community needs. Oversees stocking and rotation of merchandise, sets up displays, and secures fragile and high shrink items.

• Lead and develop teams effectively: teach, train, actively listen to associates, tour stores, provide feedback, and employ Tour‑to‑Teach methodology. Communicate with all levels regarding store operations and company initiatives.
• Model exceptional customer service using the One Best Way (OBW) service model and manage community outreach programs. Resolve customer complaints and implement action plans for process improvement.
• Supervise hourly associates: hire, train, mentor, assign duties, set clear expectations, recognize performance, and recruit qualified staff to meet staffing needs.
• Control merchandise loss by setting performance goals, conducting inventory reviews, identifying deficiencies, enforcing loss‑prevention policies, conducting investigations, and documenting findings.
• Conduct safety and risk management: oversee safety team members, track accident trends, provide training on accident prevention, and implement plans to improve workplace safety.
• Manage claims and receiving operations: ensure proper application of policies, process claims for damaged or returned items, maintain documentation and reporting, and coordinate job‑related activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, support the Open Door Policy, and promote integrity, ethics, and a culture of belonging.

• Completion of 2 years of college, or 1 year’s experience as a supervisor in a multi‑department environment, or 1 year’s experience in accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection, or 2 years’ experience in asset protection or related area.
• Successful completion of any applicable state requirements for work in asset protection (e.g., minimum age, specialized training, certification, or licensing).
• Current, state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility (if applicable).
• Successful completion of criminal background check and/or firearms authorized training (if applicable).
• Ability to attend and complete all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

• Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
• Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
• Certification in an asset protection related field (e.g., Loss Prevention Qualified, Loss Prevention Certified).
• General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports with performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing responsibilities.
• Investigative experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Criminal Justice.
