The primary focus of the Processing Technician is to prepare and process aviation heat transfer equipment and to provide support in the flow of maintenance work.

Essential
Job Duties:
- Route heat transfer equipment (parts) between stations.
- Pre-clean parts using mechanical cleaning station.
- Clean and strip parts using chemical composition baths.
- Apply corrosion protection on parts using chemical composition baths.
- Dry parts after cleaning/corrosion protection applications.
- Pressure and flow test parts.
- Minor mechanical work.
- Apply resin, paint and varnish to parts.
- Cut, media blast, and complete associated preparation of reusable parts.
- Review and maintain applicable paperwork to ensure accuracy.
- General housekeeping as required.
- Ensure the preservation and proper handling of all articles during maintenance processes.
- Work with supervisors / team on process improvement initiatives to smooth flow, increase productivity, and reduce processing time.

Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally across all levels of the organization.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
- Solid foundational math skills, including the ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with accuracy.
- Proficient in reading, interpreting, and analyzing technical and scientific documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Capable of addressing general inquiries and resolving issues professionally, with a strong understanding of and adherence to FAA regulations and industry
- standards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while maintaining focus, accuracy, and composure.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in an industrial environment preferred.
- Industrial Spray painting experience preferred
Additional Requirements:
- Employees are subject to random, and pre-hire, drug testing under FAA and company regulations.
- Respirator fit test required for those who paint.
