Security Project Manager – Data Center Commissioning; Security Systems

We are seeking an experienced Security Project Manager with a strong background in data center commissioning and integrated electronic security systems to support the delivery of a large-scale gigawatt data center campus in Saline, Michigan. The successful candidate will manage the planning, execution, testing, commissioning, and turnover of physical security systems while coordinating with general contractors, commissioning agents, design teams, and owner representatives.

This role requires a technical understanding of electronic security systems, commissioning processes, construction management, and large-scale mission-critical environments.

• Manage all phases of the electronic security scope from construction through commissioning and project closeout.
• Coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning of:
• Access Control Systems
• Intercom Systems
• Visitor Management Systems
• Security Network Infrastructure
• Develop and maintain commissioning schedules for security systems.
• Coordinate with commissioning agents to ensure systems meet design intent and operational requirements.
• Review construction drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders related to security systems.
• Lead factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), integrated systems testing (IST), and final commissioning activities.
• Track punch list items and drive resolution through project completion.
• Ensure documentation is complete, including:
• As-built drawings
• Test reports
• O&M manuals
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, networking, and controls teams to ensure integrated system functionality.
• Participate in owner meetings, construction meetings, and commissioning reviews.
• Monitor project schedule, cost, quality, and safety objectives.
• Support turnover from construction to operations.

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing electronic security systems for mission-critical facilities or data centers.
• Experience commissioning physical security systems in large commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of:
• LenelS2, Genetec, C CURE, or similar access control platforms
• Milestone, Genetec Security Center, Avigilon, or similar VMS platforms
• Low-voltage systems
• Structured cabling
• Experience coordinating with commissioning teams and general contractors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

• Previous experience supporting hyperscale or enterprise data center projects.
• Experience with gigawatt-scale campus developments.
• Knowledge of commissioning standards and integrated systems testing methodologies.
• PMP certification preferred.
• ASIS PSP or CPP certification is a plus.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
