EHM Senior Solutions is looking for a compassionate and experienced Nurse Unit Manager (LPN/RN) to provide leadership and clinical oversight for a skilled nursing unit. This role is responsible for coordinating resident care, supervising nursing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting the highest standards of quality care and resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Oversight of and coordination of care for the facility’s resident population, including supervision of nurses and CNAs on the resident units.
- Participate in daily IDT meetings, resident care conferences, and other daily/weekly meetings as necessary.
- Assist in the development of preliminary and comprehensive assessments of nursing needs for each client, ensuring individualized care plan development.
- Assist in developing and monitoring staff skills and competency to meet care needs.
- Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Director of Nursing Services as required, concerning the operation of the clinical services team.
- Determine appropriate staffing levels for census and acuity.
- Communicate with residents and families to maintain high satisfaction and to resolve grievances.
Licensure/Certification: Current LPN or RN license in the State of Michigan in good standing.
Education: Completion of an LPN or RN program.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
Prior Knowledge: Nursing practices and procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines related to long‑term care.
Skills:
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and solve problems.
- Strong work ethic and passion for senior living and skilled nursing.
- Strong organizational, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Excellent observation and assessment skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (Word, Outlook, Excel).
