DescriptionRetail Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of our retail store, focusing on staff management, inventory control, and financial performance while ensuring top‑notch customer service. We are looking for an enthusiastic leader with retail management experience and a keen interest in the tobacco industry.
Responsibilities- Recruit, interview, select, and retain high‑caliber talent.
- Motivate, coach, and continuously develop the team through effective training.
- Enhance team product knowledge to build expertise.
- Foster selling skills to achieve and surpass sales targets.
- Supervise retail staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations.
- Enforce company policies and ensure compliance among all employees.
- Lead the team in identifying and implementing productivity improvements.
- Set clear performance expectations and ensure employees are well‑trained in sales, customer service, and operations.
- Communicate priorities and sales strategies effectively to maximize business potential.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and sanitation standards.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and manage product ordering processes.
- Stay informed about products and current promotions.
- Build relationships with customers to make informed product suggestions.
- Aim to consistently meet or exceed sales and operational goals.
- Oversee daily store operations including cash handling, staffing, customer service, and bank deposits.
- Assist customers with sales transactions while delivering exceptional service.
- Develop strategies to enhance sales performance and drive results.
- Identify performance gaps and collaborate with the District Manager to devise effective solutions.
- Stay updated on corporate policies, initiatives, and operational procedures.
- Implement store programs aimed at improving sales efficiencies and branding.
- Engage actively on the sales floor to greet customers, coach staff, and manage business operations.
- Analyze sales and financial data to inform strategic decisions.
- Devise and execute marketing strategies to boost store traffic and sales.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity, providing recommendations for business enhancement.
- Handle store opening and closing procedures, including securing the premises.
- Be available to work over 40 hours weekly, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Adapt to take on additional tasks or projects as assigned.
