Kitchen Concepts Plus is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day financial operations for our growing kitchen, bath, and home renovation business. This role is responsible for managing accounting, banking, payroll, taxes, and job costing while supporting both residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all banking activities including deposits, credit card processing, Positive Pay, stop payments, and company credit cards
- Record client payments, deposits, mid project and final
- Handle accounts receivable for residential and commercial projects, including sales orders, invoicing, AIA billing, lien releases, retainage, and collections
- Manage accounts payable: enter bills, process payments, track credits, review vendor statements, and capture discounts
- Oversee payroll using Exak Time timekeeping system, including time review, job costing, adjustments, commissions and garnishments
- Prepare payroll documentation for accountant processing and manage retirement plans
- Administer sales tax filings (MD, VA, DE), withholding taxes, resale certificates, and tax exemption forms
- Maintain accurate records in Quick Books Contractor Edition and Microsoft Office applications
- Support loan, lease, and vehicle payment management as needed
- Review monthly financials for accuracy
- Experience in accounting/bookkeeping, preferably in construction or remodeling. Familiarity with GAAP accounting is a big plus.
- Strong knowledge of Quick Books (Contractor version if possible) and payroll/timekeeping systems
- Familiarity with sales tax, job costing, and commercial billing (AIA forms preferred)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
