We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing manufacturing organization. The Staff Accountant will support the accounting team by maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end close, inventory accounting, cost accounting support, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys working cross-functionally with operations, purchasing, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain general ledger journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Support inventory accounting, including cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and reconciliation of inventory accounts
- Assist with cost accounting functions including labor, overhead allocation, and product costing analysis
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, prepaid expenses, accruals, and fixed assets
- Analyze manufacturing variances and provide explanations to management
- Prepare financial reports and schedules for internal management review
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Support internal audits and compliance reporting
- Maintain internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures
- Collaborate with operations and production departments to improve financial accuracy and reporting efficiency
- Participate in ERP system maintenance, reporting enhancements, and process improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Understanding of GAAP and basic cost accounting principles
- Experience with ERP systems
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- CPA designation or progress toward CPA is a plus
- Experience with inventory and cost accounting
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations and production workflows
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This position operates in a professional office environment within a manufacturing facility and may occasionally require time on the production floor to support inventory and operational accounting activities.

Pay Range: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually

This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
