Corrective Action Program (CAP) Analyst IV

Hybrid Remote

Your role in our success:

The Corrective Action Program (CAP) Analyst IV plays a critical role in supporting the organization's corrective action process by facilitating investigations, guiding subject matter experts, and ensuring issues are clearly defined, thoroughly evaluated, and effectively resolved. This role emphasizes problem-solving facilitation, strong communication, analytical rigor, and leading teams through structured investigation processes.

The Analyst IV serves as the primary program administrator and business partner to operational leaders, compliance teams, safety professionals, auditors, and business units to ensure issues, findings, incidents, observations, risks, and improvement opportunities are effectively investigated, tracked, corrected, verified, and closed in a consistent and actionable manner.

What you'll be working on:
  • Facilitate problem-solving discussions with SMEs and stakeholders to define issues, desired outcomes, action owners, and next steps.
  • Conduct stakeholder meetings to gather information, clarify concerns, and ensure accurate understanding of issues.
  • Guide teams through structured, fact-based investigation approaches and support root and contributing cause identification.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze information from multiple sources to support investigations and corrective action development.
  • Ensure documentation is clear, complete, and actionable.
  • Guide teams through development of practical, risk-based corrective actions and completion evidence.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure corrective actions address root and contributing causes and are documented for closure.
  • Identify recurring issues and systemic concerns requiring broader corrective actions or escalation.
  • Work closely with Operations, Safety, Compliance, and Quality teams to ensure alignment.
  • Communicate findings, risks, trends, and insights to operational leaders and governance teams.
  • Support CAP administration, procedure refinement, training materials, governance meetings, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Analyze CAP trends, recurring causes, repeat findings, emerging risks, overdue actions, aging items, and organizational performance indicators.
Who you are:
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
Experience
  • 8 to 12 years of experience in corrective action, safety, utility operations, investigations, auditing, and regulatory environments.
Licenses/Certifications
  • Standard driver's license required.
  • Six Sigma Certification and/or PMI certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills with the ability to translate complex issues into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, organize, analyze, and report information effectively.
  • Ability to influence, coordinate, and guide stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Familiarity with regulatory or compliance-driven environments such as pipeline safety or OSHA.
  • Strong analytical mindset focused on continuous improvement and problem-solving effectiveness.
  • Ability to facilitate effective problem-solving discussions across all organizational levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort engaging stakeholders one-on-one and in group settings.
  • Knowledge of CAP lifecycle management, effectiveness verification, and corrective action governance processes.
  • Ability to guide teams toward practical and sustainable solutions.
  • Experience using Safety Management System (SMS) software for corrective action tracking, reporting, and closure.
  • Experience supporting investigations using root cause methodologies.
