News Reporter
WBOC TV (Salisbury, MD) is looking to hire a full-time news reporter for our ratings dominant, award winning news operation in Salisbury, Maryland. Strong writing and communications skills are a must. Our reporters interview sources, write copy and deliver stories for TV, our website/mobile app and our social media outlets. We aggressively cover community-oriented stories of broad appeal across Delmarva. The right candidate must also display a strong ability to communicate with sources, enterprise stories and report community issues.
Responsibilities- Interview sources
- Write copy and deliver stories for TV, website/mobile app, and social media outlets
- Cover community-oriented stories across Delmarva
- Communicate with sources, enterprise stories and report community issues
- Work under pressure, meet deadlines and collaborate with a team
- Shoot video and edit using Adobe Premiere Pro (a plus)
- Full-time availability
- Strong writing and communications skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Team player
- Experience with video shooting and editing with Adobe Premiere Pro software (preferred)
