Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for an instructional designer to create engaging, equitable and workforce-relevant learning experiences that increase student engagement, persistence, completion, transfer and upward mobility. This position also serves as a faculty coach and instructional consultant to advance innovative teaching practices that support Wor-Wics mission of transforming lives through education.
Essential Duties- Duties include collaborating and communicating with faculty, subject matter experts, instructional technologists, and other stakeholders regarding designing, developing, training, implementing, evaluating and optimizing program and course offerings
- Developing and facilitating distance education and digital archive plans for all credit and CEWD programs
- Contributing to the development of policies for distance education and maintaining a Distance Education Policy Manual that includes periodic course reviews, quality standards, and course expectations
- Designing and developing faculty workshops on interactive learning content
- Integrating Open Educational Resources (OER) and workforce competencies into course design and learning opportunities
- Requirements include a bachelors degree in instructional design, educational technology or a relevant field
- Two years of experience in instructional design focused on distance learning, educational technology, and creation and preparation of learning materials using a learning management system
- Experience teaching online or hybrid
- Knowledge of AI application in higher education
- Intermediate to advanced skills using a range of technologies to develop dynamic pedagogically-sound and technologically appropriate live, online and hybrid courses
- Effective project management, organizational, technology and teamwork skills with an emphasis on quality and student satisfaction
- A valid drivers license
- Preference will be given to applicants with a masters degree

- The starting salary will range from $73,400 to $89,950, depending on qualifications and experience
