OVERVIEW Salisbury University is seeking an Assistant Provost for Global Engagement/Chief International Officer to lead the institution's comprehensive global engagement strategy. Reporting to the Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs, this leadership role oversees the full portfolio of the Janet Dudley Eshbach Center for International Education (CIE). The position supports international education initiatives across the university and advances internationalization, intercultural learning, and global partnerships within higher education.
The role includes leadership of programs and services connected to study abroad, student exchange, international admissions, and support for international students and scholars. The successful candidate will collaborate across campus to strengthen international opportunities and support the university's broader mission of global engagement.
- Lead Salisbury University's comprehensive global engagement strategy
- Oversee the full portfolio of the Janet Dudley Eshbach Center for International Education (CIE)
- Manage programs related to study abroad
- Oversee study away opportunities through the National Student Exchange
- Supervise international admissions functions
- Provide leadership for international student and scholar services
- Oversee the English Language Institute (ELI)
- Collaborate across campus to advance internationalization initiatives
- Promote intercultural learning within the university community
- Develop and strengthen global partnerships
