Electrical Lead - Data Centers

Role: Electrical Lead - Data Centers (Engineer/Project Manager)

Compensation: Up to $200k base + annual bonus

We have partnered with a top national engineering firm and are looking for a talented Electrical Engineer/Project Manager to lead electrical delivery on large scale data center projects
. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity within a dynamic, truly experienced mission critical team part of a large national AEC firm. (Data center experience is a must).

• Design of electrical power, lighting, and low-voltage systems; manage and design multiple concurrent projects
• Strong ability to interpret electrical and architectural technical drawings
• Lead electrical design team efforts and manage project teams to maintain budget and schedule control
• Develop fee proposals and qualification-based submissions
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (NEC, energy codes, NFPA, local electrical codes) and ensure designs conform to all applicable codes and client standards
• Prepare and review electrical drawings including power distribution plans, lighting layouts, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, load schedules, grounding plans, and bills of materials
• Perform electrical load calculations, short-circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations, and coordination studies using industry-standard software
• Able to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities
• Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external clients

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering is a bonus.
• Previous experience in mission-critical sectors (data centers, healthcare, critical infrastructure, etc.)
• 10+ years of electrical engineering design experience
• Experience with electrical load calculation and power system analysis software (e.g., SKM, ETAP, Easy Power)
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit (MEP)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Project management experience and/or PMP certification preferred
• Desire to lead multi-disciplinary projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams
• Experience with power system studies (short-circuit, coordination, arc flash) and energy analysis is a plus
• Local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) experience and established relationships is a plus
• Active involvement in local professional organizations (e.g., IEEE) is a plus
