Position: Mechanical Designer / Engineer - Salisbury, MD

A+S is seeking a Mechanical Designer or Engineer to join our team. This position requires 3-5 years of HVAC design experience and the salary is $62K – $95K depending on experience, skills, and certifications. The Mechanical Designer / Engineer will work independently or as part of a team on multiple concurrent projects, both in design and construction, and be responsible for the preparation of contract documents and specifications for different types of building systems.

This encompasses calculations, systems analysis, quality control of finished projects, and field/construction activities.

Responsibilities
  • Perform full design of HVAC systems, including full equipment selection, for small to medium commercial projects.
  • Analyze system options and evaluate existing systems where appropriate.
  • Coordinate all aspects of project document completion within A+S and externally with clients.
  • Complete full design in accordance with code. Production is performed using AutoCAD & Revit depending on preference of architect.
  • Write specifications.
  • Provide bid and construction phase services including reviewing bids, answering RFI's, reviewing shop drawings, participating in project walk throughs and providing field observation reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a mechanical focus
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • AutoCAD and Revit preferred
  • PE license a plus
