As an Engineering Project Coordinator, you will assist in managing project submittals, tracking production timelines, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring seamless project execution. This role requires a dynamic professional who can multitask effectively while maintaining precision and organization.
You'll interact with a wide range of stakeholders-contractors, field teams, government agencies, and internal departments-via email, phone, and in person.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Submittals
* Interpret and analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
* Review job scope and specifications prior to submittal
* Create, manage, review, and approve submittal packages
* Compose and send submittals for approval and manage correspondence
* Obtain and track signed approvals for equipment, drawings, and site requirements
Project Tracking & Execution
* Monitor and track production timelines to ensure timely completion
* Maintain and update project spreadsheets daily
* Ensure all project documentation is accurate, current, and properly stored
* Release equipment to manufacturers for production
* Coordinate and schedule project deliveries
Communication & Collaboration
* Serve as a key point of contact for field supervisors
* Communicate directly with contractors, owners, and government agencies (e.g., Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC)
* Collaborate with design teams, consultants, and architects
Technical & Design Support
* Assist in designing elevator layouts for various applications
* Prepare and submit documentation for government projects
* Develop knowledge of industry codes and standards (A17.1, A18.1, B20, ADA)
Additional Duties
* Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support project success
Qualifications
* High School Diploma required; some college coursework preferred
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Adobe
* Experience maintaining organized digital filing systems
* Familiarity with elevator systems preferred
* 2D/3D drafting experience preferred
* Knowledge of industry codes and standards is a plus
* Experience with Microsoft 365 tools
