SA-TECH is a contractor that specializes in range operations and maintenance, weapons testing, facilities management, target O&M, engineering support, systems integration, electronics and communications maintenance, and a growing cybersecurity business. The company operates multiple test and training ranges for Army, Air Force, and Navy.
Position SummaryInstrumentation Engineer to support the H-53K team with troubleshooting, instrumentation system design, software configuration, and system operation. The engineer will serve as a technical specialist responsible for design, development, construction, and test of complex Special Flight Test Instrumentation systems. The role includes research and development for hardware and software used in flight test data operations and advising leadership on complex technical matters.
Responsibilities- Support H-53K operations.
- Provide direct engineering support to the team.
- Oversee data download, processing, and telemetry ground station operation.
- Design, integrate, calibrate, and support instrumentation systems for flight and ground testing.
- Manage small to medium instrumentation projects, including cost, schedule, and performance.
- Support instrumentation from design through flight test, including pre-flights, post-flights, recalibrations, ground station flight support, data validation, and playback.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work predominantly within enclosed buildings.
- Includes sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and reaching.
- Lifting capacity: 50 lbs. solo and 50-100 lbs. assisted.

- BS in Physics or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 1-3 years of experience (more preferred).
- Experience with flight-test instrumentation design, programming, and data acquisition.
- Experience with programming and validation tools for flight-test instrumentation (desired).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- Valid driver’s license and eligibility for company vehicle insurance.
- U.S. citizenship required; must obtain and maintain a DoW Secret Security Clearance prior to hire.
