Principal Systems Engineer; ISSO Security Clearance

This full‑time Principal Systems Engineer position requires a TS/SCI/Full Scope Polygraph Clearance. 2HB Incorporated is seeking an engineer to support its government customer in Annapolis Junction, MD.

• Provide support for a program, organization, system, or enclave’s information assurance program.
• Support the proposal, coordination, implementation, and enforcement of information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Maintain the operational security posture of an information system or program to ensure security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed.
• Assist with the management of security aspects of the information system and perform day‑to‑day security operations.
• Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information.
• Perform vulnerability and risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation.
• Provide confirmation management for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Manage changes to the system and assess the security impact of those changes.
• Prepare and review documentation including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs).
• Support security authorization activities in compliance with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).

• A Bachelor’s degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline from an accredited college or university plus twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience.
• A high school diploma or GED plus twenty‑four (24) years of general systems engineering experience (any process area).
• A Master’s degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience.
• A PhD in a qualified engineering field or related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience.
