Cybersecurity, Systems Engineer
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows-based infrastructure across multi-platform classified and unclassified environments, leveraging Windows Server and Active Directory
- Provide operational support for an enterprise environment consisting of 100+ workstations and multiple servers, ensuring high availability and performance
- Support network architecture, server provisioning, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware/Hyper‑V), along with enterprise applications and storage area networks (SAN)
- Execute system backups, recovery operations, and multi‑tier desktop support to ensure continuity of operations
- Maintain configuration management baselines in accordance with DoD standards and best practices
- Apply security patches, perform vulnerability scanning (e.g., ACAS/STIG compliance), and remediate findings to maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) compliance
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to support RMF accreditation activities, including documentation, continuous monitoring, and security control validation
- Utilize cybersecurity tools and frameworks to ensure compliance with DoD Information Assurance and cybersecurity requirements, maintaining a strong security posture
- Five to ten years network and system administration experience in a Windows environment is desired.
- Security+ CE certification is required.
- Knowledge and experience of Windows SHB, Windows Server, Active Directory, WSUS, Brocade or Cisco Switches, Storage Area Networks, Windows Scripting, and VMware, VPN, and other communication collaboration tools is desirable.
- Familiarity and certification with ACAS, HBSS, and Domain Controllers is ideal.
- The candidate must be able to interface with a wide customer base using strong communication skills, communicate network issues to management, and balance priorities.
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen with a Top Secret security clearance.
Salary Range 100K-140K and will be commensurate with experience
