Project Engineer II/III - Technical Scheduling
Maryland
Job PurposeThe Project Engineer – Technical Scheduling supports senior schedulers with the development, maintenance, and reporting of project schedules for biopharmaceutical capital and operational projects. This role assists project managers and engineering teams in tracking project progress, maintaining schedule integrity, and supporting timely project execution.
Leadership ResponsibilitiesNone; focuses on skill development
Technical Responsibilities- Develop and maintain project schedules using scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
- Update schedules with progress information and track project milestones
- Assist with schedule variance analysis and progress tracking
- Coordinate schedule updates with project managers and team members
- Maintain schedule documentation and project reporting tools
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Construction Management or related field
Preferred Qualifications- Familiarity with project scheduling concepts such as Critical Path Method (CPM)
- Experience with capital project execution; preferred experience to be in life sciences based projects
- Past involvement in projects executed within operational facilities
- Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling tools preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
4 - 8 years
Physical Requirements- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Move throughout large manufacturing facilities and around production equipment
- Wear required PPE and comply with site gowning, safety, and contamination-control procedures
- Work in cleanroom or controlled environments
- Primary residence in Maryland
- Highly mobilized role spending significant time (50–80%) on client sites and with A‑BIO teams
- Hybrid/remote flexibility subject to project needs
- Travel requirements dependent on primary residence and project needs; minimum travel expected to be at least 20–25%
