Pay Range:
Bachelor level MLS/CLS/MT: $29.68 – $46.00/hr
Associate level MLT: $23.99 – $35.98/hr

The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is responsible for performing, evaluating, and correlating laboratory test procedures while assisting in the selection and evaluation of testing methods. This role supports quality patient care through accurate diagnostic testing and may participate in training laboratory personnel, students, and new team members. The position may also assist with routine administrative and technical laboratory functions.

• Laboratory staffed 24/7
• Assigned to primarily one shift or rotating schedule (days, evenings, nights)
• Weekend coverage required
• Rotational holiday coverage
• Overtime and additional shifts may be required during staffing shortages or increased workload
• Expected to respond in disaster situations

• Perform, evaluate, and correlate laboratory test procedures
• Assist in selection and evaluation of laboratory test methods
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory results
• Participate in training and professional development of laboratory staff and students
• Support quality control and compliance standards
• Assist with administrative and non-routine technical functions as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology with ASCP certification
  OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science with ASCP certification
  OR
• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology with minimum two years of relevant experience with ASCP certification

Previous laboratory experience preferred
