• Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of information technology (IT) systems.
• Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
• Provides support to IT systems including day‑to‑day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
• Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
• Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

• DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Level I or higher.
• Ten (10) years’ experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

• Experience providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Experience with Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
• Experience managing the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Experience providing assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Experience providing tier‑1 and tier‑2 (escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
• Experience monitoring and resolving issues for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Experience escalating and communicating status to agency management and internal customers.
• Ability to optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• In‑depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems.
• Ability to provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
• Experience supporting the dispatch system and hardware problems.
• Experience configuring and managing UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installing/loading operating system software, troubleshooting, maintaining integrity, and configuring network components to improve reliability and performance.

$130,000 - $145,000 a year. The ARSIEM pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other laws.
