Job Overview

Cleared Lead Dev Ops Engineer – Bestgate Engineering delivers innovative solutions for national security and enterprise innovation. This role develops and sustains a highly available platform orchestrating microservices using cutting‑edge technologies. It requires strong cloud infrastructure, automation, containerization, and CI/CD experience in mission‑critical environments.

• Provide technical leadership across infrastructure priorities, sprint execution, and Dev Ops team coordination.
• Architect and maintain infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, Event Bridge, Athena, Step Functions, EKS, ECS.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation scripts with Python, Ansible, Terraform.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Git Lab runners and Argo CD.
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads via Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, Docker Compose.
• Analyze and optimize cloud infrastructure costs and service utilization.
• Track sprint priorities, ticket decomposition, and tasking in Agile environments.
• Lead functional systems analysis, integration, implementation, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability.
• Ensure system uptime and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of professional experience, or 10+ with a related Master’s degree.
• Extensive experience architecting infrastructure with AWS technologies.
• Proficiency in IaC and automation scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
• Strong background in containerization (Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, Docker, Docker Compose).
• Experience with high‑level functional systems analysis, integration, implementation, and complex issue resolution.
• Expertise in optimizing cloud infrastructure costs and AWS service utilization.
• Managing sprint priorities, ticket decomposition, and Agile workflow.
• Tracking ticket execution and driving technical direction aligned with program needs.
• Managing CI/CD pipelines with Git Lab Runner and Argo CD.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.

• Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure with Terraform, auto‑scaling, Lambda, etc.
• Deep understanding of AWS networking (VPC, NAT, Internet Gateway).
• Develop and manage Git Lab CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize performance and reliability.
• Debug and troubleshoot infrastructure for maintenance and availability.
• Experience with Kubernetes focused on EKS, ECS, and/or Fargate.

$195,000 – $240,000. Salary based on market data and candidate qualifications.
