Freight Flow Associate

Position Summary

Responsible for maintaining inventory, safety, and customer service standards within the Sam's Club.

• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans using the Open Door Policy.
• Operate forklift safely, picking up, moving, placing, and positioning merchandise pallets.
• Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources while collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations.
• Receive stocks and organize merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers, managing inventory flow and utilizing equipment appropriately.
• Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying member needs, guiding and supporting members regarding self‑service technology, and assisting with purchasing decisions.
• Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe situations.
• Maintain sales floor and merchandising presentation by zoning the area, stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or outdated goods, and ensuring prominent display of promotional and seasonal merchandise.
• Ensure club pick‑up orders are filled by assisting with picking orders throughout the day and staging, ensuring products are selected and staged according to company policy.
• Track goods, maintain in‑stock levels, and control shrinkage, reporting poor inventory practices and low in‑stock levels.
• Operate and maintain forklifts safely, reporting poor or unsafe conditions and informing management when forklifts are not in proper working order.
• Proactively identify customers who need help, actively engage them and assist with technology services and items, and identify shrink opportunities.

• Act with integrity by maintaining the highest standards of ethics, compliance, and accountability.
• Drive continuous improvement while balancing short‑term and long‑term priorities and considering the impact on the team.

The hourly wage range for this position is $20.00 to $28.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

• 90 days of prior experience with forklift certification.
• Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
