SummaryThe position is responsible for performing electrical and mechanical duties within classification scope, including equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, emergency breakdowns, and equipment failures. Wage ranges from $22.00 to $33.00 per hour based on shift, experience, and qualifications, with annual bonus potential and overtime availability.

Principal andEssential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Diagnose failures of mechanical and electrical equipment and make repairs.
- Rebuild mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Fabricate sheet metal and conduit.
- Compile and complete paperwork related to repairs, including work orders, time cards, and job cards.
- Perform all work within safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies and company policies.
- Respond to after‑hours and weekend calls for mechanical equipment repairs.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Advanced electrical training preferred.
- 1–4 years of related experience.
- General knowledge of computer, operating, and network systems.
- Basics of working around and using high‑voltage equipment.
- Basics of microprocessor‑based equipment (loop controllers, VFD, etc.).
- Experience with gearbox systems, pump systems, conveyors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Welding experience—mig and stick.
Physical Requirements
Must move throughout assigned areas carrying required equipment and tools. Must reach vertical heights up to 15 ft to perform repairs and monitor equipment in open and confined spaces. Must work outside in all seasonal weather, stand for 8–14 hours. Exposure to airborne dust, chemicals (hexane, caustic soda, butanone, ethanol, aluminum chloride), wet and moist floors, temperature ranges 28–100 °F (both ambient and 100% humidity), product handling 25–50 °F, noise levels 50–110 dB, and chemicals used in poultry and food processing.
Protective and safety equipment must be used as directed. Ladder climbing may be required.
