Wor‑Wic continuously accepts applications to fill Building Attendant positions that perform custodial duties in campus buildings. These positions are considered essential employees and may be required to report during non‑scheduled days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Base Pay Range$14.46/hr – $14.46/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience).
Current Vacancies- Full‑time Building Attendant (Night Shift) 11 pm – 7 am
- Perform custodial duties, including dusting furniture, vacuuming, shampooing carpeted floors, disinfecting restroom fixtures, removing trash, cleaning windows, elevators, floor mats, and marker boards, dry and wet mopping tile floors, and moving chairs and desks.
- Operate buffers, polishers and other cleaning equipment.
- Maintain cleaning equipment through periodic lubrication and filter changes.
- Respond to faculty or staff cleaning or sanitizing requests and unlock doors as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of cleaning experience.
- Ability to operate floor‑care machinery.
- Ability to use small equipment, such as power tools.
- Preference for candidates with experience stripping and waxing floors.
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
- Full‑time:
Sun. – Thurs., 11:00 pm – 7:00 am (30‑minute lunch) or 9:00 pm – 5:00 am (30‑minute lunch). - Part‑time:
Mon. – Thurs., 9:00 pm – 10:00 pm or Sun. – Thurs., 9:00 pm – 1:00 am.
The full‑time positions include the full benefits package offered by Wor‑Wic. The part‑time position includes fringe benefits, including tuition waiver, state pension, and sick, annual, and personal leave. The minimum starting salary for this position is $17.08 plus a $0.50 shift differential.
