At York Building Products, our night shift crew is the heartbeat of the operation. While the world sleeps, you’ll be welding, troubleshooting, repairing, fabricating, and making sure the plant is ready to roll when the sun comes up.
We’re looking for a hands-on, mechanically minded Night Shift Millwright who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and knows how to keep equipment running strong.
What You’ll Be Doing Your Shift Might Include:- Welding pipe and fabricating mechanical components
- Repairing conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and industrial machinery
- Troubleshooting equipment issues before they become production problems
- Operating hand tools, power tools, torches, and heavy equipment
- Working with manlifts, telehandlers, and skid loaders
- Performing preventative maintenance, oil changes, greasing, and inspections
- Keeping production running safely and efficiently through the night
- Working indoors, outdoors, on the ground, and occasionally high in the air
You might be our perfect Millwright if you:
- Prefer working nights over sitting in traffic all morning
- Love fixing things and figuring out how machinery works
- Can think fast and troubleshoot under pressure
- Know your way around tools, welding, and fabrication
- Don’t mind getting dirty and working hard
- Take safety seriously
- Work well with a team and show up ready to go
- Experience as a Millwright or similar mechanical role
- Welding, fabrication, and pipe fitting experience
- Knowledge of conveyor systems, bearings, and gearboxes
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues
Comfortable operating heavy equipment - Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding environments
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Millwright or welding certifications
- Industrial or manufacturing experience
- The ability to fix things everyone else already gave up on

This role keeps you moving.
You’ll work around heavy equipment and industrial machinery in indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to weather, dust, heat, cold, noise, and fast-paced production conditions.
Physical demands include:
- Climbing
- Bending
- Lifting up to 90 pounds
- Working from ladders, aerial lifts, and elevated platforms
