This is a full-time ACC Ameri Corps position with Maryland Broadband Cooperative.
The American Connection Corps (ACC), an Ameri Corps program of Lead For America (LFA), is a service fellowship program aimed at helping communities build the digital connectivity necessary to expand opportunity and economic mobility, ranging from healthcare access to quality employment. ACC Members spend a year serving with locally-rooted organizations, helping address the digital divide and strengthen access to opportunity. Through their service they gain hands‑on experience, build in‑demand skills, and explore career pathways while making a tangible impact in their communities.

The Broadband Impact & Partnership Coordinator will focus on supporting partnership and membership events and public education efforts that increase awareness of broadband initiatives that align with Maryland Broadband Cooperative's mission. All activities will be performed under the guidance and supervision of program staff.
Position OverviewThe Broadband Impact & Partnership Coordinator will focus on supporting partnership and membership events and public education efforts that increase awareness of broadband initiatives that align with Maryland Broadband Cooperative's mission. All activities will be performed under the guidance and supervision of program staff.
Key Responsibilities- Partnership Support:
Support existing and research new relationships with community organizations, local leaders, and stakeholders to drive initiatives and foster collaboration toward mission‑driven goals under staff direction - Event Coordination:
Assist staff with coordinating mission‑driven events such as educational briefings, roundtable discussions, community forums, and the Maryland Broadband Cooperative (MdBC) Broadband Leadership Forum and Annual Members' Meeting, including preparing name tags, organizing event materials and swag bags, assisting with event setup, and distributing materials to participants - Social Media & Outreach:
Assist staff with developing and scheduling program‑approved social media content to highlight mission‑focused broadband initiatives. Research stakeholder engagement opportunities and share findings with staff - Membership Coordination:
Support the engagement of the organization's membership base by assisting with member communications, promoting events, and encouraging participation in educational activities related to broadband and digital inclusion initiatives - Participate in monthly marketing and program planning meetings, as assigned, in accordance with Ameri Corps guidelines and allowable activities
- Support the development and refinement of program‑approved content and messaging across diverse communication channels under staff direction
- Research stakeholder engagement opportunities and support related coordination and engagement activities under staff supervision

Learning & Development OpportunitiesAs an ACC Member, you will receive structured training and support throughout your service year, including:
- A two‑week‑long virtual orientation with the national cohort to kick off the service year
- A week‑long, in‑person national Winter Institute convening with your ACC cohort — travel, lodging, and a per diem stipend are fully covered.
- Twice‑monthly virtual training on skills for service, including project management, asset‑based community development, grant writing, and serving vulnerable populations, plus self‑paced curricula with opportunities to earn badges and credentials
- A structured community listening tour at the start of service to understand local needs, assets, and opportunities
- Dedicated 1:1 support from a Lead For America Program Coordinator and twice‑monthly peer pod meetings for networking and professional development
