We are looking for dedicated and hard‑working Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to work in the medical department at the Somerset County Detention Center located in Westover, MD. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care and perform duties under the supervision of an RN.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care while ensuring the proper flow of relevant information is communicated to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain, update, and secure electronic medical records.
• Maintain accurate records of all controlled substances, narcotics, and sharps in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
• Conduct sick calls for inmates/patients and provide treatment for illnesses and injuries as defined by written protocol approved by the PCM Medical Director.
• Observe, report, and document symptoms, reactions, and progress of inmates/patients, and participate in the formulation of care plans.
• Retrieve and file medical information in the inmate/patient medical record.

• Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of New Hampshire (or applicable state).
• Experience level: 0 year(s) or above.
• Strong patient assessment skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Capability to work under supervision.
• Demonstrate clinical competency.
• Experience in correctional health care delivery system (a plus).
